The Africa-Arab Cultural Institute has honoured Pr. Helmi Shaarawi for dedicating 60 years of his life to the research of the Africa-Arab heritage, which aims at enhancing Arab-African relations, on the sidelines of the seventh edition of the Luxor African Film Festival, March 16-22, 2018 in the city of Luxor – Egypt.
The Institute has also awarded a prize for the best film at this edition worth $US 2000.
Luxor African Film Festival is an annual event organised in Luxor. The Festival screens long and short films produced in African countries, made by African filmmakers, concerned by African subjects.
