Word from the Director General

It seems useful to us, as we begin a new phase of our presence on the web network, to make a brief presentation of the Afro-Arab cultural institute created by decision of the Arab-African summit as the first achievement concretizing cultural cooperation between the two largest sub-regional organizations, namely the African Union and the League of Arab States and as an example to follow for constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation for the two areas.

The Afro-Arab cultural institute is a building created to serve as a framework illustrating the cultural and historical links between Africa and the Arab world in order to contribute to the emergence of a diverse and multidimensional partnership based on exchanges and dialogue. between two regions condemned by history and geography to live together and work to explore the promising prospects of their common future.

Anxious to strengthen the institute’s presence on the web and with a view to taking advantage of the exceptional development of social communication networks, we have decided to design and put online a new electronic site to serve as an interface between the institute and its public and present to the latter the mission of the establishment consisting above all of bringing together Arab-African peoples and promoting their cultures.
The site will also serve as a space dedicated to contact and exchange between partners and visitors. It will be the portal of the institute at the sub-regional, continental and global level.
It will make available to its visitors all the useful information available on Arab-African cooperation in all areas. The content of the site, which will be continually updated, will be served to you, dear visitors, in a form easily accessible from the home page.
